Mobile ECU remapping is done through the Diagnostic socket (OBD Port) of vehicles built around 2000 onwards, using this method there are no add on components or any visible trace of the ECU remapping work having being carried out on the vehicle, we use a laptop running specialist software that can read and make a copy of the original data on your vehicles ECU then we are able to write new data to the EPROM chip inside the vehicles ECU. Stored on this chip are data maps (hence the name ECU remapping) that are used to send the engine instructions such as fuelling, ignition timing and boost amongst others.
